Golden LegionanaireSource Hellfire Dispatches pg. 32The home guard of the Eagle Knights, the Golden Legion patrols the cities, towns, roads and byways of Andoran, protecting and serving the people alongside the nation's armed forces. In peacetime, the Legion conducts vigilant border patrols, particularly in far-flung areas, and responds to natural disasters or dangerous incursions of fey, werecreatures, and bandits. With the outbreak of open hostilities, however, the Legion has been called to the borders of the nation, building fortifications, training village militia, and responding to cross-border sorties by Chelaxian forces. Stretched thin across the country's entire western border, the Legion has also sacrificed precious frontline personnel to form the Platinum Wing, a new regiment dedicated to developing innovative weapons, such as firearms, to deploy on the battlefield.
Ideal Golden Legion recruits are those who see the good within the principles of Andoran and selflessly dedicate their lives to preserving it. Often levelheaded and thoughtful in temperament, Golden Legionnaires typically bring a stabilizing influence to the battlefield or a council chamber. The Legion has also been instrumental in ensuring that troops on the front lines are well supplied with materials from across the nation.
The outbreak of open war with Cheliax has posed many difficulties for Legionnaires. Many officers worry about the effects that prolonged warfare will have on Andoran's way of life. Members of the Legion, with their responsibility for supply lines, see firsthand how the effort taxes the country's resources. Many also fear that the paranoia and aggression that run rampant in the country undermines the integrity of the Common Rule and the concern that most Andorens once held for their neighbors. Timely Legion patrols have saved the lives of more than one nephilim accused of being a Chelaxian spy in the country's western reaches. While Legionnaires routinely dealt with bandits and corrupt officials in the past, intervening in the attitudes and behaviors of their fellow citizens can be demoralizing.
Within the ranks of the Legion, tension bubbles between the Platinum Wing and the rest of the cohort. Wing members, while concerned with safety, prioritize innovation over more traditional methods of warfare. Many Legion veterans question the Platinum Wing's proliferation of firearms and Godsrain artifacts throughout Andoran.
Additional Feats

You lash out at a foe that leaves an opening. Make a melee Strike against the triggering creature. If your attack is a critical hit and the trigger was a manipulate action, you disrupt that action. This Strike doesn't count toward your multiple attack penalty, and your multiple attack penalty doesn't apply to this Strike.

You can use your shield to fend off explosions and the like. When you Raise your Shield, you gain your shield’s circumstance bonus to Reflex saves.
Special If you have the Shield Block reaction, damage you take as a result of a Reflex save can trigger that reaction, even if the damage isn’t physical damage.

When you have a shield raised, you can use your Shield Block reaction when an attack is made against an ally adjacent to you. If you do, the shield prevents that ally from taking damage instead of preventing you from taking damage, following the normal rules for Shield Block.
