Draconic Pacts

Source Draconic Codex pg. 226
Countless souls find themselves, either through coercion or devotion, in the service of dragonkind, but few enter into a dragon pact. These eldritch rites of mutual binding entwine both to the ineffable animus of the cosmos, altering both beings down to their very quintessence. To break a dragon pact is to be damned to calamitous indignity. Oathbreakers bear a mark of torment that transcends the physical—as if reality itself were rebuking them. As these pacts inflict such a cost, they’re offered only in times of great desperation or in gestures of immense trust between parties.
