pg. 33As
Apsu and
Sarshallatu imagined their offspring, they deigned that one needed to understand the responsibility that comes with divinity. Thus, Turvu was born. Yet as Turvu witnessed the turmoil and violence erupting within their own family, they fled the chaos boiling around them.
Turvu found themself drawn to exploration rather than a stagnant lifestyle. They devoted their time to understanding each plane of existence and the variety of magic, resources, and beauty that could be found there. Through their travels, Turvu began to understand the very essence of divinity and found little use for the division of the good and the evil.
A being that exists beyond the binary of beliefs, Turvu’s very consciousness spans multiple planes of existence, defying the conventional laws of space and time. Lithe and more serpentine than other dragons, with kaleidoscopic scales that seem to shift to match their surroundings, Turvu’s features and general demeanor allow them to integrate on any plane, be it in Heaven, Hell, or beyond. Turvu is generally patient and not quick to anger. They’re also extremely humble by both draconic and deific standards. For what is a deity, but a power or force personified? Turvu understands that the godlike power they possess doesn’t come from their own self, but rather from the forces collected and shifting through the planes. It’s a power they didn’t earn, nor ask for. Therefore, why should they lord that power over others? They’re a deity who truly does not seek worship.
Although Turvu doesn’t actively seek to involve themself in mortal struggles, they’ve amassed a small following. Effigies of Turvu can be found on nearly every plane, though most prominently in Hongal on the continent of Tian Xia. Most dragons who follow Turvu tend to be explorers or those on the outskirts of society. A small smattering of humanoids have found peace in the beliefs of Turvu, relinquishing unearned power for a simpler life to be free of the responsibilities of leadership. On the opposite end of the scale, some have taken Turvu’s views on divinity to mean that one must seek out various forces of power and master them all.
